Terms of service
Last updated 12 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between your business and Marlo, run by Jay Kamath, Yves Yuen, Sam Hamedi and Dylan Kamath, Ballarat House, Tewkesbury Road, London, W13 0FL ("Marlo", "we") for using Marlo. Marlo is for businesses, such as restaurants, cafés and bakeries, not for personal use. By signing up you agree to them on behalf of your business.
What Marlo does
Marlo writes social media posts for your restaurant from your menu, photos and the details you give it, and, once you connect your accounts, posts the ones you approve to Instagram and Facebook at the times you choose.
Your subscription
- Marlo costs £129 a month on Standard or £249 a month on Pro, charged by card through Stripe at the start of each monthly period.
- There's no contract. Cancel anytime from the Billing page; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again. We don't refund part months.
- If a payment fails, Stripe tries again over a few days. If it still can't be taken, your subscription ends and posting stops.
- We'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email of any price change.
Your content and your approval
- Your menu, photos and posts stay yours. You let us use them only to run Marlo for you.
- Marlo uses AI, and AI can get things wrong. Every post waits for your approval unless you switch on automatic scheduling yourself. You're responsible for checking posts before they go out, including prices, allergens and offers.
- You're the publisher of your posts, so they need to follow the law and advertising rules (such as the CAP Code) and Instagram's and Facebook's own terms.
- Only upload photos you have the right to use. For guests' photos, make sure they're happy for you to share them.
Fair use
Each restaurant gets a weekly batch of posts plus up to 20 extra batches a month on request (50 on Pro), and a monthly AI allowance (twice as much on Pro) that normal use stays well within. Don't use Marlo for anything unlawful, misleading or harmful, or try to break or overload it.
Instagram and Facebook
Posting goes through our partner Zernio and depends on Instagram and Facebook. If they change or limit what they allow, or reject a post, we'll tell you, but we can't control them.
If something goes wrong
We work hard to keep Marlo running and your posts going out on time, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted.
Our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. We're not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or bookings. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Ending things
You can delete your account at any time on the Account page; that also cancels your subscription. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or isn't paid, and we'll tell you why.
Changes and the law
We'll email you at least 30 days before any significant change to these terms. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts deal with any dispute.
